Zoe and Josie had a field trip to Shelley lake this morning to work on their obedience with distractions. Zoe spooks at new things so we worked around the playground equipment that seemed very strange to her at first. She also practiced watching the kids play. We then walked the trail to work on distractions such as bicycles, runners, and even ducks. Josie seems to think that everyone, both animal and human, was put on this earth to pet and play with her so we practiced ignoring lots of people and dogs, but we also practiced saying hi to people politely. If she got too wiggly, we thanked them and moved on. Pets only continue if you stay calm Josie!
