Sadie is joining us for a few days of Continuing Education to keep her good manners in check while her owners are out of town. She loves to play but is a little shy at first. After a calm walk to establish myself as leader, she was happy to play with Maya. Both dogs know that I’m in charge and will watch over them. While they play, I call the dogs. Maya comes and makes Sadie more interested in following, which helps her practice recall. Sadie doesn’t even know she’s working on recall, she’s just having fun! That’s what it’s all about!
