Just like passing through any other threshold, Huck has to wait politely to come out of the crate. This reinforces that good things happen when he’s calm and builds self control. I stand tall and let him get his excitement out, then when I have his attention, I say “wait” and open the crate door. He knows to wait until o invite him out. What a good boy!
