Drew is doing great so far with his SIT’s at the door. He must also learn that he doesn’t always get to follow me outside. I’m telling him WAIT ahead of time, then dropping the leash and taking a few steps out the door. He doesn’t have to SIT for this exercise. He just can’t follow me! Drew’s self-control is definitely being tested! Pretty soon I should be able to walk away even further without worrying about him dashing out. He will learn I’ll be right back. Baby steps for now!
