As you can see in the vidoes, Valla has progressed in leaps and bounds over the past 2 1/2 weeks. When she first came to us, she would have what we would equate to a “panic attack” during walks. With no real trigger, it was hard to predict when we’d “lose her” and found it incredibly difficult to help her recover. Remaining overly calm during walks and repeating the exercise over and over until she completed it successfully was key. Practicing leadership things throughout her every day routine was also key to show her that we could be a strong leader. She now trusts that we will take care of the scary things in life and looks to her handle instead of panicking.
