Tucker went on his first field trip to Pullen Park today. He is learning to walk at my side without pulling ahead or trying to get to other dogs. When we go new places, we start small, building on little successes. He did an excellent job walking in circles with the pack. It’s important to show Tucker you’re in charge no matter where you are so he doesn’t try to take that job on. When we stop, I put my leg in front of him so it’s very clear in still leading.
