Titus has been getting lots of practice walking loosely beside me on a walk. Whoever is in front on the walk is the leader, and that’s never Titus’s job. If he tries to pull ahead, I walk circles into him, claiming the space around us and preventing him from moving forward. Our walks stay nice and relaxed, and I give short little tugs on the leash that mean “pay attention” so Titus is focused on me and not whatever distractions might happen by. He is also getting used to following commands on our walks to give him some mental exercise. Here he is handsomely holding a sit until I call him to me!
