Timber is practicing his skills around other dogs. He doesn’t have to want to be buddies with all other dogs, but it is required that he chooses to ignore them instead of reacting. When he realizes that his handler can take care of things, he is able to let his guard down. The “I’m going to get you before you get me” reaction is not uncommon, especially in a rescue dog that came off the streets! He may have had to do this at some point to survive, so we are just showing him that he doesn’t have to react this way anymore. Good boy Timber!
