Dogs that join us for training camp get a variety of real life training, including trips out and about to expose them to lots of sights, sounds and experiences. Sophie’s a bit shy and wary of new people so a sit between two friendly strangers in a new exciting place is a huge step for her! Socializing and keeping new things and experiences positive is a great way to build confidence and trust! The surf was also a bit strange to her at first. I gave her some leash and let her follow me into the water and gave her lots of praise when she did!! She initially would run from the waves as they came in but then would turn and come right back into them and come back to me. Sophie’s first beach trip was a huge success!! Great job Sophie!!
