We are working on Sit-Stay and Down-Stay at a distance on our walks. This exercise teaches Sophie how to be still and relaxed in all surroundings. The Down-Stay also translates well inside the house for a Down-Stay on her bed when Sophie won’t settle on her own. Some dogs settle down well on their own, but some dogs who have brains that don’t ever want to turn off have to be taught how to settle!
