Scout used to hate the crate and would work and work until he escaped (self rewarding). Because he would succeed, he would try every time he was crated. We made his crate escape proof and once he realized he wasn’t getting out, plus he got fed in there (bonus!), he learned that the crate isn’t bad at all.
