One of the keys to training is the relationship between you are your dog. It must be one of trust and respect, but it must also be mutually beneficial. You can’t expect your dog to work for nothing! Most people resort to treats but I like to find what naturally motivates your dog! In this case, Samson loves to fetch and tug! So, we are using this as his reward for a job well done. Eventually the toy won’t be the reward but it will be the opportunity to play with YOU! In the end, YOU are always the reward!
