In dog language, whoever leaves first is in charge, scoping things out and leading the way. The biggest rule at DTC is that humans enter and exit first, always! Being in charge can be a tough job, especially for an insecure dog like Rosie, so we make it clear that it isn’t her job. The pack leader controls space inside and outside. She must stay in a sit and wait to be invited through every threshold. This also promotes calmness and self control, making Rosie stop and check in before rushing through the door.
