Pack walks are important so the dogs learn there is only one leader -me! It’s important to stay relaxed, confident, and calm because that’s the energy you want your dog to respond to. Being wary and nervous makes your dog act the same. Rosie is slowly meeting the pack and sees that no one is out to get her. By practicing commands like sit and down, or holding a down from a distance, she is focusing on my lead and nothing else. This also gets her checking in with me instead of thinking about what she wants to react to. No need to worry Rosie, I’ll take care of everything!
