Poppy has been working on settle. This is a great way to keep pups busy but out from under your feet. Settle can be with or without something yummy such as a stuffed Kong, antler or bully stick. To start you being Poppy to the settle area. Have her sit and do a down. Then you can say “settle”. Once Poppy gets the hang of it you won’t have to go through so many steps. If she gets up don’t repeat any command but put her back into a settle (down) and then walk away. When you’re ready to release her simply say “all done”. Great job Poppy!
