The kids at the bus stop are always eager to help me practice greetings! They know to always say “Hi” to me 1st, then ask if they can pet my dog. If I say “Yes,” then I tell them to pet under Roscoe’s chin (less threatening) while he remains in a SIT. If he gets up the petting stops until I put him back. Practice, practice, practice!
