Petra is learning that just because a toy is around doesn’t mean it’s hers. In fact, dogs own nothing! They’re our toys that we let them play with when we choose. This means people are the only ones who can guard anything, whether it’s food, toys, or even sticks. We’ll take care of things so the dogs don’t have to. Petra can relax while another dog plays with a toy knowing that she will also get a turn. This is an excellent exercise and helps her see that there is nothing to be worried about.
