Lil Bit & Big Blue are helping me demonstrate the proper way to hold a small dog for greetings. While holding them under your arm (like carrying a pocketbook in the city), instruct the person to allow your dog to sniff their hand before petting them under the chin. Leaning down and over a small dog on the ground can be very intimidating & scary to them. This helps them get use to greetings and that humans mean them no harm!
