Mack is a typical shepherd puppy that is full of energy. In order to manage and live with her happily, we need to teach her that there’s a time for play and a time to settle down. After going for a walk, and having some supervised playtime inside, I send Mack to her bed with a bully stick where she must stay until I release her. We are working on a 30 minute settle. As she gets older, settling on a bed becomes habit and she’ll do it automatically when you settle down for your favorite movie.
