First things first with the new guy…. Door Manners. By having Mac sit at the doorways that go in and out of my house, I am communicating that I am in charge of what happens inside and outside of my house. Mac sits at the front door to go in and out as we go for our walks. It’s starts the walk off telling him he needs to be calm, I’ll take care of things. He sits to go in and out of the yard. This tells him that I also enforce the rules in the yard. You stop barking when I tell you and you don’t dig holes in MY yard!!
