Lucas has been working on going in and out of a shower. I started out by having a yummy treat with me while I went into the shower and called Lucas. Every time he walks in he got a “good boy” and something to chew on. Next step was having Lucas go in the shower by himself. I started out by telling Lucas “shower” then once he went in I gave him verbal praise. We progressed to Lucas going into the shower and sitting while I closed the door. He has to stay in a sit even when I open the door again. Once released he either gets verbal praise, attention or a high value treat. The next step would be introducing water. For now we are just desensitizing him to the shower stall. Great job Lucas!
