Lexi is a very high drive, intelligent, stubborn little shepherd girl. With these traits come things that work to our advantage and things that make training more difficult. The down command is a very submissive command so Lexi currently refuses to do it anywhere other than a dog bed. She doesn’t want to give up control. So, we are practicing lots of downs on our walks now to get the point across that commands apply everywhere. We’re getting there!
