Whether it is so you can enjoy a meal, get some work done, or just have some peace and quiet, teaching your dog to settle is a very valuable tool. It is not necessary to use a dog bed, but it does help clearly identify for your dog the place you want them to settle. A good treat or toy to keep them occupied also helps!
