Honey is learning that she doesn’t get “first dibs” when either people or dogs approach. By standing slightly in front of her, it tells her that we greet first and then we decide when or if it is her turn to greet. Our body position makes it easier for her to practice her self control and look to her handler for instructions. The same goes for when we are seated. She’s going to positioned slightly behind us.
