Sadie is settling in and learning the routine of the house. She is seeing there is a time and place for everything – to eat, to walk, to play, to settle down. Right now she has some free time to explore the smells of the yard and play fetch. The only expectation I have of her is to not jump on me. If she comes running towards me, I say “OFF” and move towards her and bump her with my leg. This is teaching her to respect my space. She can get lots of loving and petting if she comes up to me politely. Good girl Sadie!
