Harley and Huckleberry had a nice long walk this morning. They wanted to play, but they had to focus on walking politely and focusing on me. They held SIT and DOWN from a distance and then waited politely at the gate to be invited in. After they had burned off energy, I let them meet, making sure to stay totally relaxed. Instant friends! They chased each other around the yard a few times, had lots of fun, and then I ended play. Since there is such a big size difference between them, I made sure to be involved in play and ended it on a good note. This way neither one got snippy when they were tired. Good job boys!
