When on a walk your dog is on the job. Finley’s job is to pay attention to me and the direction I’m going in. He needs to heel next to (or slightly behind) me. When I stop he needs to SIT politely. The more we practice, these activities become good habits! His pay check will be lots of affection and freedom to sniff & roam when we are done. Giving Finley a job is part of a well-balanced life for a dog!
