Ziva practiced her manners in downtown Raleigh this afternoon. When going anywhere new, I first walk lots of circles into her space to get her attention and burn off some excitement. I give her lots of back to back commands to follow and when I feel good about her energy, we begin our adventure! Downtown is a great place to walk for socialization to new people, dogs passing, construction, joggers, strollers, you name it! There is always something new around the corner, but Ziva’s job is to pay attention to me. When she gets overly excited, we walk circles until she’s under control again and move on. Good work Ziva!
