This is Daisy in class yesterday. She got a new handler (Jane!), but all the same rules apply. Down is a tough command for most dogs. Puppies really have a short attention span and who really wants to settle when there are so many dogs around?! Jane keeps Daisy in a down/settle by stepping on the leash. Otherwise Daisy would roll around, not pay attention and wander off. Great job Daisy and Jane!
