After claiming the space at the back door, I asked Max to SIT as I stepped out 1st. He isn’t allowed out until I release him. I might call him, I might not! This prevents door dashing, promotes calmness, and puts me (the leader) in control of the outside environment. Now stay Max while I take this picture!
