With my son Kenny’s help, our trainees got to practice polite greetings. Kids always need to ask if they can pet a dog first. The dog needs to stay in a SIT. Always instruct kids to pet under the dog’s chin or on their back (never over the top of their head). Some dogs are fearful and unsure of kids. Allow one at a time. Be safe and never force your dog to greet anyone.
