Chessie and I are relaxing in the shade watching people & cars go by. I want her to simply relax & settle next to me instead of walking around and trying to say Hi to everyone. It’s important to keep the leash short and avoid interacting with her so she learns to settle on her own. A nice walk before hand helps make this exercise much easier! When she settles nicely, I reward her verbally with a calm “Good Girl” so she doesn’t get excited again. Once and a while an ice cube appears right between her paws!
