In order to teach Max COME, I first have to break Max’s habit of playing chase me. He is learning that game is no longer fun when I completely ignore him. Even if he runs off with my shoe! When he comes near me I ask for a SIT and give him a really yummy treat. Then I go back to ignoring him again. Soon he will realize that it’s always worth checking in when I call his name. Don’t worry Max! I have other games for you!

Aww…that face just says, “Oh no…my favorite game is BROKEN! Why won’t it work?” I’m sure he’ll learn quickly that chasing *you* is even more fun than “chase me!” 🙂
I am so excited tgat Max is learning all of these new games and can’t wait to play with him 🙂
