Boomer is getting used to the new sounds, smells, and things in the house. Since he is nervous, we ignore him and let him take it all in so he can settle into a routine for the first couple of days. He smells the other dogs in the house and gets used to seeing me handle them, watching as they interact with me throughout the day. Today his only job was to stay in the room with me instead of retreating to his crate. He watched Daisy practice “down” and calmly sat there. By ignoring him, he saw that nothing happened to him at all, and he saw the other dogs having positive experiences. What a good boy!
