Bear can be easily spooked by new things she encounters, so we remain confident and calm, showing her there is nothing to be worried about. When we walked into the yard, she jumped because the lawnmower was suddenly there. Instead of paying her any attention, I walked up and touched the mower, and eventually she did too! She realized it wasn’t a big deal at all.
